Their Mission

Founded in 1967, World Wildlife Fund Canada is the country’s largest international conservation organization. Their mission is to conserve nature and reduce the most pressing threats to the diversity of life on Earth to protect the natural environment for future generations. Guided by the best scientific analysis and Indigenous knowledge, they work to conserve at risk species, protect threatened habitats, and address climate change. Their long-term vision is simple: to preserve biodiversity in Canada, and around the world through long-term, nature-based solutions, that allow wildlife and people to thrive.

Who They Are

WWF Canada is part of the World Wildlife Fund, which is a global organization that operates in nearly 100 countries. For more than half a century, WWF-Canada has worked to protect and restore nature. As the country’s largest international conservation organization, they connect the power of a strong global network operating in more than 100 countries with on-the-ground conservation efforts across Canada. WWF Canada conserves the environment by running conservation programs, raising public awareness, and granting money for research. WWF Canada divides its programs into five areas: arctic, oceans, freshwater, global conservation, and conservation awareness.

Daniel is an extremely curious person, a wealth of random knowledge and facts. Extremely passionate about a vast array of interests ranging from health to history, science to athletics, everything culinary and the list goes on. Trust us, you would want to be on his team for Trivial Pursuit. Daniel is also years into his battle with brain cancer. He experienced a seizure while on a Zoom call at work in late 2020 and quite literally, his life changed within minutes. After his operation he started to talk about his story but had always known it was more than just him. From then, More Than Our Story became a PROJECT that has evolved into the starting point it is today.
